Vampy Red for Halloween Fun!

Red is one of the key colours for autumn / winter 2014 but it’s a loud colour to wear and not everyone feels confident doing so.  I have to say that it is one of my most favourite colours of all time and when I wear it, I feel confident so give it a go yourself.  You don’t have to go head-to-toe rouge so how about introducing it into your outfit with accessories or a glam manicure?

My latest creation at Powder Beauty Boutique takes the bold red of Vinylux in Decadence but uses a matte topcoat (OPI Matte Top Coat), to dress down the look and make it more wearable for every day.  Glossy red talons are very glamorous but the cool matte finish just makes it more casual and current, I love it.

To match your mani, treat yourself to this cute ‘In case of emergency’ cosmetics bag, £9 from www.homecandy.com.  Slogan bags are a great statement this season and you can use this as a clutch bag. Or team these M&S Brogue Chelsea Boots, £30 with skinny jeans and a chunky knit for an on-trend colour pop.

With Halloween just around the corner, you might want to go with vampy red for that or try Powder’s super cool Halloween nail art.

Get freaky with a Frankenstein accent nail, vamp it up with bloody tips, creepy fangs or ghoulish skulls or go all out and have a different design on every nail.  If there’s one time of year dressing up and going all out-crazy is acceptable, it’s Halloween so have fun!
